Effective January 1, 2008 all commercial and larger non-commercial webcaster/simulcasters must report to SoundExchange their internet musical performance royalties on a "per-performance" basis. This means that within 45 days of the close of the month reported, the radio station must report for each unique stream the number of listeners who heard each song.

Barnabas Road has developed the Per Performance Reporting System (PPRS) that allows radio stations to FTP or email their automation system's song playlist log file for the month and the PPRS process combines the playlist logging file along with the streaming media server's record of how many media players were open when the song played.

The PPRS reports the cumulative song plays/listeners and formats a ready to submit electronic report along with your hard copy for royalty payment submission. Compliance is made easy by the PPRS process.
